For a cultural trip for your honeymoon, consider traveling to parts of Japan…

I recently started planning my own trip to Japan. We are going to go in November for our annual major trip. In one of my recent posts I talked about Bora Bora, and ever since we got back from that trip we starting our tradition of annual trips.

We are going to go to Tokyo and Kyoto for about a week this coming November. Incidentally, November is the high season for part of Japan (including Kyoto), as it is their autumn season and many people will be visiting those parts to see the change of leaves. I started looking into Kyoto and discovered their beautiful ryokan traditional bed and breakfast inns.  I found this website online and they posted some beautiful photos of some of the more exclusive and well preserved inns in all of Kyoto.

The Ryokan Collection wowed me with their beautiful photos and descriptions of the ryokan inns in the beautiful Kyoto area.

Here are some of my favorite pictures (courtesy of JapaneseGuestHouses.com):

Can you imagine staying in one of these ryokan?! It will be an amazing experience to live a couple nights in a traditional Japanese inn. I can’t wait! If you are thinking about going to Japan for a cultural trip, this cannot be missed! The ryokan will include breakfast and dinner in their pricing, but be prepared to spend a bit of money if you are going to stay at a nicer inn.
